The animal census is set to commence on May 17 and end on May 28.
More than 30,000 livestock farmers in the northeast region have been asked to provide accurate data to the government ahead of the national livestock census that is due this month.
The call was made by Dr Robert Ojala the regional veterinary inspector in the ministry of agriculture animal and fisheries for the north-eastern region in an interview with New Vision.
He said the correct data will help the government to plan for veterinary services for the livestock in the country.
Ojala called on farmers not to conceal information because it will be kept confidential.
