Kaberamaido polling officers undergo training

570 polling officials in Kaberamaido district have undergone training on how they will preside over the general elections that will be held on January 14.

The assistant district registrar of Kaberamaido, James Collins Edonu revealed that every polling station will have a presiding officer, a biometric voter verification kit, a polling assistant, and polling constables.

Edonu said polling constables will be deployed by the District Police Commander (DPC).

Kaberamaido district has 95 polling stations, two counties with 52,250 registered voters.

The two-day training will equip the officials with the capability to use and operate the biometric voter verification kit.
