2021 ELECTIONS POLITICS
National Unity Platform (NUP) has developed a mobile application named ‘You Vote' to be used by the party, to monitor election results across the country.
According to NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi, the app, which will be accessible via Google play store, will be used to share results as declared at different polling stations for tallying.
"We want to use this app to minimize any loose ends to vote-rigging. It will be used by our agents to send Declaration Forms," Kyagulanyi said.
He made the remarks on Saturday, during his end of year address, at his home in Magere.
Kyagulanyi alleged that illegal tallying centres had been established in Mbuya and Nakasongola, to help in vote-rigging.
He implored the Electoral Commission to ensure a transparent process for a free and fair election.
"We have information that the Electoral Commission intends to delay voting materials in the areas of Kampala, Mukono and Maska, we want to tell you that the people of Uganda won't allow that," Kyagulanyi stated.
