PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGNS
Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate, Patrick Oboi Amuriat, has Friday returned to Pakwach and Nebbi districts to canvass for votes.
Amuriat suspended his rally there last month after his team was involved in an accident that claimed lives of two of his supporters at Got Panyimur in Pakwach.
Amuriat started his campaign trail by addressing his supporters in Pakwach, Panyimur and Erussi. He later preceded to Nebbi municipality.
The FDC chairperson in Nebbi, Emmanuel Orombi said they were excited to have him in the district after the tragedy that happened a month ago.
In Nebbi town, people are already yearning to see the barefoot presidential hopeful; they want to hear what he has to offer if he is elected president of Uganda.
"Our roads are terrible, I want to hear something about Nebbi-Goli road, the current government has failed to fix it," said Lajibi a broker in Nebbi town.
During his last visit, Amuriat promised to revive cooperatives and improve education and health services.
