COVID-19|ELECTION WATCH
In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) presidential candidate Tibatabura Yoweri Museveni used zoom technology to communicate with his supporters.
Museveni addressed Wakiso NRM mobilisers on December 21, while on a campaign trail in Bunyoro sub-region.
He said virtual meetings are one of the ways Covid-19 can be contained.
Museveni urged the mobilisers to be disciplined ideologically, spiritually, morally and technically if they are to be useful to themselves and to Uganda.
"Uganda had failed to secure her person that is why I took over in 1986. They had no respect for women and had few hospitals, schools and roads but now we have improved," he said.
He added, "We have money but the problem is with your members of parliament who go on increasing their salary. So we are now putting money in Womens groups, youth, Operation Wealth Creation and EMYOOGA in order to secure our country".
