ELECTIONS 2021

Presidential candidate Joseph Kiiza Kabuleta has promised to end corruption in the country once elected president in the 2021 general elections.

Kabuleta said that all the problems that Uganda is facing have originated from corruption because leaders do not fear God.  "I will improve on health centre 11s and 111s with enough medical personnel so that women may not die while giving birth."

"Today 20 women die daily while giving birth just because the health facilities are more sick than the patients which resulted from corruption, this must stop we want our mothers, wives and sisters to conceive and give birth normally," he said.

Kabuleta said the biggest problem of Uganda is that we have never had a leader who fears God. All the countries that have God-fearing leaders are growing very fast because you can't get corruption in such countries.

'I was called by God to save this country I want your support so that we rescue our country from corrupt leaders," he said.

He added that there is no country that can develop when leaders do not fear God because there is no way you can fight corruption when you're not saved.

He said Tanzania which used to be behind Uganda in development after getting a good leader, John Pombe Magufuli their GDP has doubled that of Uganda in just 10 years.

Kabuleta met his supporters' majority church leaders and Moslem leaders  at Okapi Hotel in Western division Rukungiri Municipality.

He said there would be a medical doctor at every health centre 111 and clinical officer at health centre 11 once he is elected the president.

He urged his supporters to rest their fear that he cannot win the elections as God is the only one who appoints the leaders.

He said he was the only pastor in the race and with the prayers given to him anything is possible.

He said all the problems we are facing in the country is because the country's income is consumed by very few people and nobody is stopping them.

"Imagine we have some people in this country with over 100 cars and mansions nobody can ask how one person can acquire such riches," he said.

He added that how can a farmer sell three liters of milk to buy half litre of water.

He said he would revive cooperative societies to buy their produce. He said he would get direct market for milk since Rukungiri is producing a lot of milk but people remain poor.

He said this is a time to plan for Uganda as the head of state is retiring soon. "At 76 years if we cannot plan for our country then we are in total mess as it happened in Congo with Mobutu seseko," he said.

He added that even in the family when the head of family clocks 70 years without planning how his family will be governed that family will have very many problems.

Kabuleta, 48, years said he saw the war that brought this regime into power and would never support a war in this country at any one time.

"There are some leaders who are promoting tribal wars in Kampala, they don't know what it means by igniting tribal war among the society which may take decades to end I will be president who will unite all the people regardless of their tribe or place of origin,: he said.
