KAMPALA - Rubaga North Member of Parliament, Moses Kasibante has been discharged from Case Hospital in Kampala where he had been two days ago admitted in critical condition.

Kasibante who was suffering from fever and stomachache for over a week was discharged on Friday (December 11, 2020) evening and returned to his home at Kosovo, Lungujja in Lubaga Division, Kampala.

Close friends said the MP had showed signs of improvement and was able to call a few of them for a chat and alert them that he has been discharged and returned home.

He however informed that doctors had recommended him to have bed rest and barred him from meeting people although it is a campaign period when he meets campaigners and supporters.

He is working hard to retain the seat. He is however facing challenge from several contenders including lands minister Beti Kamya on NRM ticket and KCCA speaker Baker Kawalya on NUP ticket.

Kasibante on Thursday morning spoke on phone to some journalists and confirmed the rumours that he was indeed sick.

"Yes I have been sick for almost a week, but yesterday I was taken to Rubaga and the doctors later transferred me," Kasibante said.

He added that several tests had been conducted and he was able to receive some results but he was still waiting for more.

He, however, said he had got some relief after the treatment but he did not elaborate whether the tests carried out included COVID-19.
