PICTORIAL: How Museveni ended Ntungamo tour in style

As the President left, he was presented with a spear and shield, which he tactfully held...as if ready to attack any enemy.
President Yoweri Museveni today visited Ntungamo, a district where he garnered 67.96% of the votes cast during the 2016 elections.
More so, this is the home district of First Lady Janet Museveni. Mrs. Museveni once represented the people of Ruhaama County in Parliament between 2011 and 2016.
As early as 8am, the town started beaming with activity as National Resistance Movement supporters secured the best space along the roads to have a clear view of the party chairman.
Groups could be seen positioning themselves with posters and the NRM party flags flying high.
Generally, there was less crowding, although the sound of the Tubonga Nawe tune did not leave the party faithful in one position.
Both young and old danced in the middle of the road while they displayed the thumbs-up signal to show their commitment to NRM.
As the Presidential convoy approached, supporters made way but kept cheering until Museveni made his way to the meeting venue.
At the meeting, the President reminded the people of the NRM achievement in Ntungamo and Ankole at large.
After the meeting, the president was gifted with a stool, shield, and spear to signify endorsement to continue leading Uganda.
