It would not be the first time cases of COVID-19 have been reported at the NRM secretariat

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) secretary general Justine Kasule Lumumba on Monday went into self-isolation after three of her handlers tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.

In her statement released on Monday, Lumumba noted that "this is to inform the leadership and fraternity of NRM and the country at large that three of my handlers with whom I work with, yesterday tested positive for COVID-19."

"I have therefore taken advice from our scientists to immediately enter into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure, while I wait for results of the rapid test I have had to take," Lumumba further noted.

Lumumba said that all campaign and coordination activities at the NRM secretariat will continue normally.

It would not be the first time cases of COVID-19 have been reported at the NRM secretariat. In August this year during the party primaries, the secretariat was briefly closed after some of its staff tested positive for COVID-19.
