Uganda has recorded 473 new Covid-19 new cases from tests done on Thursday, October 27, and 6 new deaths.

The Ministry of Health on Friday noted in a statement that, "Results of COVID-19 tests done on November 26, 2020, confirmed 473 new cases. The cumulative confirmed cases are now 19,588."

The breakdown of the new cases is:

Early this month, the Minister of Health Jane Ruth Aceng urged Ugandans to respect guidelines that had been set by the Government which included wearing masks, keeping social distance and washing hands.

However, the increasing cases point to relaxation in the SOPs set up by Government and also the electioneering period that has seen politicians gather mass crowds as they search for votes.
