Minister Kyeyune warns against misuse of Emyooga funds

So far 19,0710 emyooga parish-based associations have been mobilised

Sh20b  Emyooga funds have so far been disbursed to beneficiaries according to the minister of state for microfinance Haruna Kasolo Kyeyune.

Speaking at the Media Center on Thursday, Kyeyune asked Ugandans to take the opportunity to save. He said each mwooga will receive sh30m.

So far 19,0710 emyooga parish-based associations have been mobilised. He cautioned members against misusing the money.

Kampala and Wakiso districts are expected to receive  sh50b.

"If  you dare steal the beneficiaries' money we will  deal with you," he said

"This money is not free money it's not for political purposes. it helps Ugandans get out of poverty," he added.
