COVID-19: Teachers unite to start free digital learning platform

They have prepared content which is being shared at no cost to all schools and teachers around the country on www.prime-learner.com

When schools were closed by Government in March this year as a measure to curb the spread of COVID-19, several teachers especially those who are not on the Government payroll started scavenging for all sorts of jobs.

A section of teachers, on the other hand, opted to find a way to keep pupils occupied.

Teachers from Victoria Mutundwe Primary School, called upon their colleagues from several schools countrywide, with whom they started a digital learning platform to help all children around the country.

Within just two months, the 80 teachers had assembled a production team, and months later, they have prepared content which is being shared at no cost to all schools and teachers around the country on www.prime-learn.com

We have the details in today's Mwalimu, in the New Vision.
