Kisaka pays courtesy call to Kyabazinga

Kisaka called upon the Basoga in the diaspora to return to their motherland Busoga and develop it adding that Busoga has many opportunities in development.

The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Kisaka Dorothy on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope IV at the Budhumbula Palace in Kamuli district.

According to a statement released by the kingdom, "Kisaka, a daughter of the soil from the late Dr. Bulamu family, who was accompanied by her family members, had a private interaction with the Kyabazinga aimed at lobbying for Busoga and developing the region."

Kisaka and her entourage were later taken on a guided tour of Kyabazinga's vast land filled with various model agricultural projects. 

"We held a cordial meeting where we agreed that we continue with developing Busoga in terms of promoting education, health and culture among the Basoga," Kisaka said 

Some of the main takeouts from the talks include partnering to promote Girl Child education, improving health services in health centres, promoting education and promoting unity among the Basoga.



She appreciated the Kyabazinga for the warm welcome at the palace and for accepting to join hands to develop Busoga Kingdom. 

Kisaka called upon the Basoga in the diaspora to return to their motherland Busoga and develop it adding that Busoga has many opportunities in development.

She toured the pineapple garden, forest reserve, orange orchard and Banana plantation among others. She also visited the cattle and goat projects on the farm.  




Kisaka hailed agricultural activities that she saw at the farm of the Kyabazinga and called upon Basoga to emulate their King and promote commercial agriculture. 




Busoga Kingdom's Minister for Culture, Mafumo Richard said Kisaka's visit was a sign of the cordial relationship between the two leaders. Mafumo said the kingdom is an open door that welcomes all progressive allies.   




Kisaka and the King exchanged pleasantries at the climax of the visit at Budhumbula Palace.   




Present at the function was the Prime Minister of Bugabula BB Chiefdom Ronald Nsaiga Watongola, The CEO of Gabula Royal Foundation Isaac Imaka, Busoga Kingdom Ministers Ivan Kiirya, Najib Lukooya Bateganya, Monica Owagage, Princess Lydia Muloki and Ngobi Joshua the Minister of in charge Gabula Affairs and Security in Bugabula BB Chiefdom.
