In what type of world should humanity live?

The term world is Earth with physical geographical features, plants and animals, plus people in a variety of its areas and where people are engaged in a variety of economic activities. Areas, where people are engaged in economic activities, are called countries. Economic activities give rise to thinking and feeling in and, by, people also referred to as Human.

That is how and why they are different from plants and animals. Economic activities further give rise to differentiating between beautiful and ugly, good and bad, wrong and right, correct and incorrect, ideal and non-ideal, art and spiritual life in general and finally leading to the need for a man and a woman living together forming a family which is the first human institution on the basis of which there arose a human society which is both economic fundamentally and spiritual, secondarily.

However, economic activities gave rise to a variety of phenomena which demanded names for each given phenomenon. For example, music, art, drawing, painting, sculpture, drama. All these are found in a sphere of society referred to as superstructure whereas Land, Labour, instruments and tools of labour are in the sphere referred to as the Economic Base. When the economic base and superstructure are put together and looked at together in a combination, is when we have a socio-economic formation. That is now a full society both in the economic sense and spirit where the spiritual reflects what takes place in the economic base.

All these phenomena in both the economic base and superstructure lead to the multiplicity of meanings affecting the term world like the world of Art, music, drama, sculpture, drawing and painting.

In all these types of the term world, the human being is both property owner, labourious and spiritual. A combination of labour and spirit is very important. Labour demands land, instruments and plus tools that must be used to tackle land in order to put up a house, grow food and make dresses. Human physical life demands labour and property. They are these two that determine and give rise to Human Relations. There can never be human relations outside these two categories of social phenomena. Human relations, however, emanated from and still continue under economic systems in history. These are:

  1. Primitive communalism or simple commune where land and tools of labour were owned in common plus labour itself performed in common, then distribution and consumption of products again in common. This is an illustration where each lived in all and for all where all lived in each and for each. This is Humanism. All were governed by custom, habit, and tradition based on common human-ness inherited within all and by all. All were one as property and labour in common turned all into one economically and spiritually.

  2. However, the world as part of the universe, together undergo the law of motion. They have never been static. Subsequently, the art and technicality of and, in labour, transformed tools of labour whereby tools became a property of a few who used them to dominate others.

Thus tools were put under two categories namely articles for labour on one hand and weapons for war on the other.

Thus the militarily conquered ones became slaves and slave-maids while those conquering them became masters.

When therefore in Greece there emerges the term Democracy, that is, "Rule by the people" - "Demos''- i.e. "people" are only the Masters. Women in general plus slave-maids and slaves are not part of the people. (The Demos).

This is known as a slave-owning society all over the world in History and its economic law is "work without pay" were slaves and slave-maids are only speaking tools under the mercy of the master.

  1. Tools and machines are developed higher and higher again to the extent of better armed group acquiring more land from others. Those from whom more land is grabbed become tenants while those grabbers become landlords.

Because the term "feud" means land, the system is referred to as "feudalism" while the grabbers become feudalists where the economic law is land rent due to tenants paying rent to the landlords.

  1. The world continuing under the law of motion gives rise to new and more advanced productive forces but which fall in the hands of a few again who deprive the majority of what would be their own means of production and finally turn them into wage-earners as they employ them in their own private enterprises for profit-making. It should be well understood that what has really been used to build an enterprise does not produce something above what was invested. What is realized above what is invested is referred to as profit. But that profit above what was invested cannot come from fixed assets like land, machines and raw materials. It comes only from part of the number of hours performed by the labourer, and which is never paid for.

When an enterprise is in the hands of a private owner, that surplus is pocketed by that very private owner. This system is known as capitalism. When it is a public enterprise, the surplus is made public revenue. However, capitalism grows higher than this. All profits from private businesses give rise to an institution called Bank where all surplus funds are kept for the use again of capitalists who use them for re-investments. Part of the more profits they make is turned into more capital which they export to other areas of the world to gain profits again from the indigenous workers of the countries where they have exported that capital. At this stage, capitalism is referred to as Imperialism. When the capitalist class that is exporting capital to other countries decides to capture those countries and politically rule them, imperialism now becomes colonialism.

For colonialism is a system whereby either a country or, a group of countries is bound together by military and political ties for the economic purposes of foreign capitalist classes. A colony especially in Africa gradually falls under three classes. One is that of peasants who begin and continue producing raw materials for the capitalist foreign conquerors. Two is that of wage -earners in the enterprises of the same conquerers, and three, a type of intelligentsia produced through colonial schools, colleges and universities in order to become a type of intellectual and technical human tools that can serve in the superstructure of a colony but without negating the pre-intended economic intentions and aims of that very foreign capitalist class that has conquered their territory.

However, the British Spanish and Portuguese capitalist classes entered the American continent and had citizens from their own countries settling above natives of those areas.

On top of that they bought Africans from Africa and turned them into slaves and slave-maids in that continent. The conquerors became colonialists when the settlers became colonists above natives plus slaves and slave-maids. This type of colonisation took place in Africa also where South Africa was occupied by Boers and the British on one hand while Kenya was occupied by the British with settlers also on the other.

These settlers became colonists like those in the American continent. The British capitalist class went also to Australia and News land killed the Abrogines in Australia and killed the maoris in Newsland and took over those continents turning them into colonies where the British settled as colonists as the capitalist class ruled those colonial continental areas. The British Queen is still Head of state of each of those continents as they belong to the British commonwealth of nations again. They are referred to as British Dominions up to now including Canada. The natives of those Dominions are not recognized and are insignificant.

It should be noted here that a colony is also built unconsciously on the basis of the law of the unity and struggle of opposites which is universal in both nature and society. Here, those are the conquerer and the conquered again under the law of motion which also operates both in nature and society. The colonial socio-economic formation would not be an exception. It had to undergo change.

Finally, therefore, colonies demanded independence from their conquerors to the surprise of their very conquerers. Of all the social classes in a colony, peasant, wage-earner and, intelligentsia, the intelligentsia assumes the lead in demanding National Independence from the conquerer on behalf of all those classes.

In conclusion, let us observe the following:

The majority of the countries in the world today are under pure capitalism except China, Cuba, North Korea, and Vietnam.

The United States of America is the biggest and strongest capitalist state in the world. It has confiscated Gwantanamo, which is a territory of Cuba amounting to 44 square miles where it has established a naval base, two sea ports, two airports and a prison and where the Cuban government in Havana has no authority.

That is colonialism. On top of racism internally, then it has a rate of eight million unemployed per year plus annual suicide at a rate of forty thousand people.

Israel has confiscated parts of the Palestinian state in the Middle East including its capital of East Jerusalem. The same Israel confiscated Golan Heights, a territory of Syria.

Venezuela is trying to establish a pro-people state but the USA is dedicated towards sabotaging such an arrangement. The same U.S.A organized the overthrow of Dr. Allende of Chile who was trying also to establish a welfare state for that country. North Korea is building and running a welfare state and the U.S.A is against North Korea. Adolf Hilter killed six million Jews during the Second World War because he did not want Jews in Germany to dominate Germans on their own territory.

Finally, having observed all the above- mentioned social phenomena it is self -explanatory that in history, since the superseding of the simple commune by class modes of economic production, technology went up to high standards as ethics and spiritual life deteriorated on the basis of mutual antagonism between the ruled and ruling classes. For the slave and the master, the tenant and the landlord, the worker and the capitalist, the colonial people and the colonialists could not be mutually friendly.

Today, the apex of evil in the world is the world capitalist system headed by the capitalist class of the United States of America which carries and holds a fundamental aim of dominating the whole world. It is academically incorrect to look at the Republican Party as different from the Democratic Party of the US. For both of these parties spring from the US capitalist class. They are both fundamentally capitalist oriented. That is why no matter which one of them is in power but Gwantanamo remains a property of the US. None of them sees that as wrong for their economic and ideological aims are similar. They only differ in tactics. When one of them notices errors made by another and which can cause danger to their class as a whole, then that one which has seen mistakes begins to expose the other as wrong so that even during an election that one struggles as much as possible to defeat the considered wrong one so as to retain capitalist integrity of their class. At their stage of imperialism, they have no permanent friend but only permanent interest.

Another misfortune in the world is that many leaders in the former colonies in Asia, Africa and Latin America are pro-capitalist. The demand here is that all layers of the intelligentsia in Asia, Africa and Latin America, should realize that overlooking the status of workers and peasants in those areas as the intelligentsia itself goes pro-capitalist is Neo-colonialism which is a shame as well as an academic ridicule when colonialism was denounced and yet afterwards the very classes that denounced colonialism now turn neo-colonial in an alliance with the very classes that had conquered them.

Each country in the world should have a revolutionary intelligentsia which is able to realize that very high standards of technology should be guided by an academic, ideological and pro-people spiritual line intended for welfare for all in each and every country and, finally, the whole world. Technology without those guidelines is blind technology and where preaching spiritual life without practice shall remain empty preaching. If technology is not based on pro-people ethics, it will end up being dangerous and harmful to all humanity.

Ethics is determined by an economic system. There can never be correct ethics from economic systems based on mutually antagonistic classes. Today capitalism remains a global holocaust headed by the US capitalist class.
