Amuriat takes campaign to Gulu and Omolo

Nov 18, 2020

Patrick Oboi Amuriat's campaign team has experienced a second movement glitch after his Electoral Commission (EC) escort car broke down, which forced the candidate's escorts to use some of his private vehicles.

However, this has not daunted the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC's), presidential flag-bearer, to proceed to Gulu and Omolo districts in search for votes ahead of the 2021 general presidential elections.

After traversing for votes in Kitgum and Lamwo districts in the Acholi region, Amuriat spent a night in Kitgum town, hitting the road for Gulu and Omolo early Wednesday morning.

He made several stopovers on his way, with the first one at Acholibur town Council in Pader district.

On the journey to Gulu, Amuriat's EC escort car broke down, which forced the candidate's escorts to use some of his private vehicles.

The team says communication has sent to the Gulu head office asking for an emergency vehicle, as they wait for another replacement from Kampala.

First glitch

On Sunday, November 16,  Amuriat spent the night in Agogo district with his campaign team after a tough day that saw his motorcade get stuck on a muddy section of the road in Onyutu village, Alito sub-county in Kole district, on his way to Pader and Agago districts.
