Big League side Tiles and Terazzo searching for new coach

Jusper Barigye, the club CEO confirmed that the club is searching for a coach because Kimera has already gone back to active football with his club.

Newly promoted FUFA Big League side Tiles and Terazzo are in search for a new team coach, after part time coach Ali Kimera said he had no coaching qualifications as required for any head coach of a second division tier.

The veteran goalkeeper who is also the custodian of Star Times Uganda Premier League side Busoga United made history after leading the Mbarara based side to their maiden Big League qualification, following a 5-4 penalty shootout win over Kitara's Booma FC after the two sides played to a 1-1 normal time draw in the regional play offs held at FUFA Technical Center Njeru, last month.

"I only have a goalkeeping coaching certificate from Kenya, but I have been trying out my capabilities in football administration and this has been a great achievement for me. I have to take on the courses and keep moving," Kimera says.

Like any other sports personality who has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, Kimera says he was about to enrol for a coaching course before the lockdown on sports.

"If it was not the corona effect, I was going to enrol for the CAF C course, to be able to attain a qualification that would help me meet my dream, but this means I have to wait. However, I am still a Busoga United player and will wait to see off my contract and make a decision thereafter," Kimera said.

When contacted, Jusper Barigye, the club CEO confirmed that the club is searching for a coach because Kimera has already gone back to active football with his club.

"We are definitely looking for a qualified coach atleast with the minimum requirements and we hope to have this done soon," Barigye said.

A club source revealed to New Vision that Mbarara City assistant coach Sadiq Ssempigi and Wakiso Giants assistant Augustine Nsumba will takeover.
