Police and Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) commanded by DPC John Rutaagira have dispersed the boda boda riders who had gathered at Koranorya trading centre to welcome Gen. Henry Tumukunde as he proceeds to address his supporters at Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara district.

Tumukunde was set to address his supporters at Booma grounds but the Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) Lt Col James Mwesigye pushed him to Kakyeka.

However, by press time Police and UPDF officers had refused Tumukunde to hold the rally and led him out of Mbarara to Kiruhura, where he was to meet his supporters

Security has been beefed up to contain the situation and to stop any procession to town.

Several roadblocks have been mounted at the Coca-Cola roundabout and on Ntare road.
