Three pupils test positive for COVID-19 in Apac

Three pupils from Apac Model Boarding Primary School in Apac Municipality have tested positive for COVID-19.

Faustino Opila, the Apac Municipal Education Officer says, the three cases are part of eight pupils whose samples were collected on Tuesday after they presented with signs similar to those of COVID 19

Opila says three of the pupils tested positive for COVID 19 while five tested positive for malaria.

Opila says they are being monitored by health workers.

The Apac district COVID-19 surveillance focal person, Leone Oceng said 11 out of 94  samples collected from primary seven pupils are contacts to the three who tested positive.
