I am ready to campaign for Museveni -Kakooza Mutale

With just a few days left for campaigns to officially start, Maj Ronald Kakooza Mutale has vowed to join President Yoweri Museveni's campaigning team to ensure that he wins.

Kakooza has in the past campaigns been traversing around the country where he traveled with a brass band.

Speaking to the New vision, Kakooza, said he is going to first concentrate on the Central region, to ensure that the NRM wins.

"Our history starts from the Central region in Luwero and so we must remain strong here. I cannot let this region be portrayed like it's not supporting Museveni. Let those other candidates also go to their regions where they come from. Why basing and putting many efforts here?" he said.

He added that Buganda is portrayed as not supporting President Museveni but this must change.

"We do not have any other capable person apart from this Mulaalo (referring to Museveni, the NRM party presidential flag-bearer), and so I must ensure that he wins," he said.

Kakooza, however, declined to reveal how and what he is going to do in the campaigns but confirmed he is ready with new tricks.

"I cannot reveal what I am going to do but I am so ready, only waiting for the Electoral Commission to officially allow us to start campaigns, then I will show you," he said.
