A group of youths this morning (November 6, 2020) took to the streets of Hoima demanding that Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom breaks the silence and save Bugoma forest. Led by Ismael Mugabi, the youths said that they are disappointed with the Kingdom of Bunyoro because it has remained silent on such a key issue that affects them.

"Bugoma forest must be saved at whatever cost. We don't care whether the forest belongs to National forestry authority or Bunyoro Kingdom. What we want is Bugoma saved," said Mugabi.

Ronny Mugasa, one of the youths who participated in the demo said that the prime Minister of Bunyoro kingdom Andrew Byakutaga must come out clearly to save Bugoma instead of claiming that he wasn't in office at the time the transaction took place.

Efforts to get a comment from the prime minister were futile as he could not be reached in office and on phone.
