Rashida Nakato, a resident of Buguluba-Ssanga in Gombe sub-county, was allegedly raped and strangled by yet unknown assailants.

Residents of Wakiso are still in shock after unknown assailants killed two people, including a 22-year-old woman who was duped through a phone call to leave her house.

Rashida Nakato, a resident of Buguluba-Ssanga in Gombe sub-county, was allegedly raped and strangled by yet unknown assailants, and her body abandoned by the roadside.

Residents were shocked to find her body in the morning on Sunday and tipped local council leaders who in turn informed the Police.

It is alleged that Nakato returned from a funeral in Mukono on Saturday evening but she received a phone call from an unknown person and left her house without revealing who had called her and where she was going. She never returned.

Kennedy Kayongo, an area councilor, expressed shock over the incident and asked the Police to expedite the investigations saying many residents were living in fear.

The Police visited the scene and took the body to the city mortuary in Mulago for a postmortem.

Kulubya's body was recovered on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the body of another resident, Atanansi Kulubya, 52, who went missing a week ago, was discovered on Sunday in a thicket, rotting.

Kulubya, a resident of Buyaga-Busukuma, is said to have sold his plot of land at sh3m but never reached home. It is said the killers waylaid him, killed him and took his money, abandoning the motorbike he was riding.

The Police visited the scene and recovered a stone the killers are suspected to have used to hit him.
