Mary Nuba has extended her contract with the Loughborough Lightning to the 2021 season.
"Next season I want to be able to be involved more in what I do and learn 100 percent and understand it, then give back," Nuba told New Vision Sport.
The 23-year-old goal shooter will lead her team's scoring after the university secured her for a third season.
Nuba will be involved in helping the team hunt for a Vitality Netball Superleague title. If she can follow in the footsteps of She Cranes and former Lightning goal shooter Peace Proscovia, she will accomplish a lot but she is her own person.
By improving on what she did last season then she can very easily create her own legacy.
"My favourite moment was winning the golden shot award. 2019 was the best season I've ever experienced; it was my first time in the league and to then win that award at the end made me so proud of myself," Nuba commented.
She loves the institution and recently enrolled in a degree program where she is in her second semester.
School and netball are hard to balance but if anyone was to excel at it, Nuba would be the one.
