Rugunda meets NRM members in Rwampara, Ntungamo

This follows a decision by the NRM Central Executive Committee, to try and reconcile party members across the country before the 2021 elections.

Prime minister, Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, has this morning met with NRM delegates in Rwampara and Ntungamo district.

This follows a decision by the NRM Central Executive Committee, to try and reconcile party members across the country before the 2021 elections.

"Our purpose is to heal the political wounds left after the primary elections & build unity and seek common ground. There is so much that unites us as an NRM family." Rugunda tweeted at 6:54am this morning.

Similar meetings have been held in other districts across the country including Rubanda on Thursday and Isingiro on Friday. Ahead of the Isingiro meeting, the prime minister tweeted:

"We today met  NRM leaders, including flag bearers, as well as those who were not successful in the party primary elections in Isingiro District, to foster unity, reconciliation & cohesion."



Today (Saturday, October 24), NRM delegates have also gathered in Kabale in western Uganda, and Kaberamaido in similar reconsiliation meetings.
