Operations at passport office resume

The closure, which was announced on October 20, affected the issuance of passports, immigration services such as work permits, dependant passes and certificates of residence.

Operations at the Directorate of Citizens and Immigration (DCIC) have resumed after two days of closure.

The office opened on Tuesday (October 20, 2020), DCIC said in a statement on Friday. "Normal operations of the ministry headquarters have now resumed. We thank you for being patient," said the statement issued by Jacob Siminyu, the agency's spokesperson.
