Express FC has appointed Daniel Kiwanuka as the club's new goalkeeping on a two-year deal after ending his stay at KCCA FC.

"I've achieved everything there is to win in Ugandan football hence the need to seek a new challenge," Kiwanuka stated.

He replaces club legend and former goalkeeper coach Sam Kawalya who stepped down from the role due to health concerns on the advice of doctors.

‘Coach Kiwa' brings along invaluable experience to Wasswa Bossa's backroom staff having groomed several goalkeepers including Uganda Cranes stoppers Benjamin Ochan and Charles Lukwago.

During Kiwanuka's playing days he featured for league sides like Diary, UMEME, Simba and Maji and his coaching spells have seen him manage the U17 boys and girls teams and the U20s men and women's national teams.

The Uganda Premier League is scheduled to kickoff on November 20.
