FDC unveils countrywide campaign team leaders

According to Patrick Amuriat, FDC will run a war-like campaign to ensure that they encounter whoever will try to stand in their way in guise of implementing the COVID-19 guidelines, in a discriminating manner.

The Forum for Democratic Change has unveiled its nation-wide campaign team that will be responsible for soliciting support for all its candidates come 2021.


While addressing journalists at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi on Monday, FDC presidential flagbearer-Patrick Oboi Amuriat, revealed that, besides the team of 284 members, they will also be joined by all the party district chairpersons and a committee of 30 people per village, during their campaign trail.


"For areas where we do not have official flag bearers, we shall enter into memorandum of understanding with some FDC-leaning candidates and support them wherever they will be," he said.

According to Patrick Amuriat, FDC will run a war-like-campaign to ensure that they encounter whoever will try to stand in their way in guise of implementing the COVID-19 guidelines, in a discriminating manner.

He also called upon all the opposition political parties to come up as a team and work together towards safeguarding their votes during the elections.


"I would also like to take this opportunity to sympathise with our colleagues in the struggle from the National Unity Platform, whose offices were raided by security under unclear circumstances," he said. He said FDC has encountered similar situations.

FDC campaign team leaders
The FDC Campaign Director General, is Amb. Wasswa Biriggwa, deputized by Hassan Kaps Fungaroo, the Member of Parliament for Obongi County, National Director Field coordinator, is Rukungiri municipality MP-Roland Kaginda Mugume, Executive Director of campaign Bureau will be headed by Wycliff Bakandonda, Chief Campaign Advisor-Phillip Wafula Oguttu, and Salaam Musumba, as Chief Campaign Monitor and quality assurance.

Publicity, Communication and branding, will be headed by Kira Municipality MP Ibrahim Semujju Nganda, while Jack Sabiiti, has been appointed Director Finance and Logistics.

The leader of opposition, Betty Aol Ocan, is appointed Director Special Interest Groups, William Nzoghu (Director Field Logistics), Dr. Stella Nyanzi (Director Research, Policy and Strategy), Erias Lukwago- (Director Legal services), Amin Sadiq-(Director Security), Prince Dickson Wasajja-(Director External Wing and Diaspora)

MP Ronald Reagan Okumu, will be the overall commander Northern block, while MP Christopher Acire-head Acholi Sub-region, MP Frank Akello-will head East Acholi, MP Anthony Akol, will head West Acholi, MP Hassan Kaps Fungaroo-will head WestNile sub-region, and MP Cecilia Barbra Atim Ogwal-will head Lango Sub-Region.

Overall commander Eastern block-is Nathan Nandala Mafabi, Paul Omer-head Teso Sub-Region, Samuel Aret-will head Karamojja Sub-Region, Dr. Frank Nabwiso-will head Busoga Sub-Region, MP Geofrey Ekanya-will head Bukedi Sub-Region, Isiah Sasaga-will head Elgon Sub-Region, and Joseph Alfred Chemonges-will head Sebei Sub-Region.

The overall team leader fo Western block-is William Nzoghu, Ankole Sub-Region-will be headed by MP Francis Mwijukye, Betty Bamukwatsa Muzanira-will head Kigezi Sub-Region, Moses Tugume will head Bunyoro Sub-Region, Daala Ajuna-will head Tooro Sub-Region, while Harold Tonny Muhindo will head Rwenzori Sub-Region.

The overall team leader for Buganda block will be Owek. Joyce Juliet  Nabbosa Ssebuggwawo, Jimmy Kanaabi will head East Buganda, Hajjat Rehema Segendo-will head CentraL Buganda, Robert Sekajja will head Northern Buganda,  Mukalazi Kibuuka will head West Buganda, Mayor Kayemna Afaayo will head Southern Buganda, while Kawempe South MP Mubarak Munyagwa, will head Greater Kampala (Wakiso and Kampala.
