Today In History: Mbarara LC5 chief Justin Sabiiti ordered to stand trial

Court in Kampala ruled that Mbarara LC5 Chairman, Justin Sabiiti had a case to answer for authorizing the District Executive Secretary to obtain sh100m from UCB Mbarara. It was alleged by prosecution that Sabiiti's action amounted to abuse of office.  Kampala chief magistrate Flavia Munaaba said sufficient evidence was adduced to put Sabiiti on his defence. Prosecution led by Principal State Attorney Simon Byabakama Mugenyi, alleged that Sabiiti as LC5 chairman, abused office, an act harmful to the interests of his employer.
