Mama Kisanja celebrates becoming NRM party flag bearer

Peninah Busingye, 75, took to streets to celebrate with her supporters after becoming the NRM party flag bearer for Member of Parliament for older persons in the Central region.

Clad in yellow t-shirts with posters written on Peninah Busingye, the supporters blew trumpets and danced to several songs that praised the President Yoweri Museveni and Peninah Busingye aka Mama Kisanja.

Addressing her supporters at her office in Ntinda, Busingye said she will continue to work with her opponents and urged them to unite so that they can vote for President Yoweri Museveni in the 2021 Presidential elections.

Busingye said once she is elected, she will ensure that all the older people's access special treatment rooms at every health centre IV and all government hospitals.

Busingye also said that there is a need to increase the senior citizens grant from sh25,000 to sh50, 000, saying the funds do not meet the expectations of older people.
