She Cranes Captain Peace Proscovia is disappointed her side Sunshine Coast Lightning failed to advance to the finals of the Suncorp Super Netball league but admits the West Coast Fever were just that much better.

"Well not the result we wanted as a team but it was a great effort from everyone. Having been in finals for three consecutive years winning two in a row, it was always not going to be easy defending such a record given the fact that all teams are good," she said.

The win unequivocally ends a three year run in the finals for the Sunshine Coast Lightning a record they would have loved to stretch to the fourth year.

"Fever has always been a threat to all teams and this year they kind of displayed consistent netball threatening all teams but that's why we play netball. Sometimes we win, sometimes we learn lessons when we lose," admitted Proscovia.

The goal shooter did not start the match but finished it. The second half appearance helped pull her side back into the contest although the match had been won by the time she came in.

For now, it's back to the drawing board for the Lightning whose season is now finished and all plans are set for the next season.
