FIFA okays Murushid Juuko's move to Express

His ability has never been in doubt having played for Vipers and Tanzania’s Simba SC

Uganda Cranes defender Jjuuko Murushid has been cleared by FIFA to join Express FC.

Jjuuko who agreed a one-year deal with Express two months ago was only waiting for the greenlight after petitioning FIFA over his former side Wydad Casablanca from Morocco.

The former Simba SC player left Wydad in November last year due to claims of not receiving his sign-on fee and wages after joining them on a two-year deal in August the same year.

FIFA based on this to terminate Jjuuko's contract with Wydad hence completing the move to the Red Eagles.

His move to the six-time league champion is reported to have been pushed by the club CEO Isaac Mwesigwa.

Juuko's ability has never been in doubt having played for Vipers and Tanzania's Simba SC. The only concern about him may be fitness since he last played an entire game during AFCON in Egypt last year.

His partnership in central defence with new Express skipper Enoch Walusimbi could turn out to be one of the best pairings in the league.

He joins Dennis Otim, Crispus Kusiima, Richard Bossa, Charles Musiige, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Abel Eturude, John Byamukama, Baker Sakah, Isaac Nsengiyunva, Musitafa Kiragga, and Mahad Yaya Kakooza as Express' signings of the transfer window.
