UBTEB sets dates for vocational exams, registration

UBTEB expects 40,0000 candidates so sit for the exams at 203 examination centres

The Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB), the body in charge of vocational examinations has set dates for the registration of candidates to sit exams in 2020 as well as dates for sitting the exams.

Speaking at a press conference held at the board's head offices in Ntinda, UBTEB executive secretary Onesmus Oyesigye said the registration of candidates for the May/June 2020 slot will take place between October 19-30 while late registration will be between November 2-6.

The May/June exams which should have been done earlier in the year before education institutions were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic will now start on November 23 for technical diploma students while the second phase for commerce/business institutions will commence on November 30.

UBTEB expects 40,0000 candidates so sit for those exams at 203 examination centres around the country.

For the November/December slot, registration will take place between November 2-11 while exams will take place in March 2021 in line with regulations provided by the health and education ministries.

Registration for all the candidates shall be done online on the UBTEB access portal.
