Uganda Premier League to kick-off November 20

This is one of the decisions FUFA executive committee took regarding the immediate future of football competitions

The 2020/21 Uganda Premier League season will kick-off on November 20 rather than the earlier date of October 17.

This was revealed in a statement circular signed by the FUFA deputy CEO in charge of football Decolas Kiiza in line with the resumption of football activities in the country especially FUFA competitions.

"Kick off of the 2020/2021 season is postponed from Saturday 17th October 2020 to Friday 20th November 2020. The club licensing exercise has been extended to 15th October 2020 to enable the process of planning and release of fixtures by Tuesday 20th October 2020. The player registration period is extended by 4 weeks to 19th October 2020," read the communication in part.

This is one of the decisions FUFA executive committee took regarding the immediate future of football competitions and events based on the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.

Vipers are the reigning champions having won after the season ended with five games left due to coronavirus pandemic.
