Six-year-old boy killed in Mbale landslides

According to the Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS), several other cracks have developed in the area and communities have been warned.

A six-year-old boy has been killed by the Monday night landslides in Banarutere village, Bubyangu sub-county in Mbale district.

According to the Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS), three other family members were injured by the slides that left houses devastated.

"Three seriously injured: mother, father and grandmother to the deceased," a report by URCS spokesperson Irene Nakasiita said.
