KAMPALA - The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Dr Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, has asked clergies not to re-open churches if they haven't yet fully put in place the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The Archbishop made the remarks during a service at his home in Namirembe on Sunday (September 27, 2020).
Kazimba said that some churches have no temperature guns, books for registering those entering the church and therefore they should first put emphasis on meeting the Ministry's guidelines before re-opening.
"Namirembe and All Saints cathedral Nakasero, will re-open on Sunday October 4, 2020, so I urge all churches in the province to first put the SOPs in place before re-opening to prevent the spread of coronavirus," he said.
