Mugisa had a big heart

Sep 25, 2020

Daddy was my friend and confidant. He knew my struggles but he never judged me, preferring to help me during my most difficult times.

CELEBRATING LIFE

One year ago, my best friend went to be with his father in heaven. What a dark Tuesday it was!

Though you are gone, there is no day that I do not think about you. You remain in our memories.

I know you are in safe hands singing with the choir of angels. I thank all our relatives and friends who stood with us during that terrible time.

A special thank you to my sister Grace, my people in the US and the team of doctors that fought to save his life.

I also thank Bishop Balagadde Ssekadde, Canon Kisawuzi, the clergy, all the brethren of St Mark Namate Church of Uganda and the Entebbe community.

My friend, thank you for the love and care you showed me, your children and grandchildren.

Your grandchildren miss you. Your mukyala keeps asking Jesus in heaven about you.

I know the good Lord has given you a peaceful rest.

With all my love, your wife Beatrice Mugisa

He helped in difficult times

Daddy was my friend and confidant. He knew my struggles but he never judged me, preferring to help me during my most difficult times.

He loved my wife and his grandchildren. I am honoured to have had him as my father.

Rest well daddy, with love Issachar

Strict disciplinarian

Our late brother, Norman, was the fifth-born in a family of six.

He was a strict disciplinarian, but he had a big heart. He was a fun-loving person, always ready to laugh with his booming voice and defend his own.

He was a beloved brother-in-law to our husbands and a loving uncle to our children.

He served his God with all his might. We miss him dearly. We thank God for the years we shared with him.

With love, your sisters

You are irreplaceable

Daddy, grandfather, brother and uncle; days have turned into months and months into a year.

The memories are just like yesterday and the gap you left is irreplaceable.

We dearly miss you and we will never forget you. Your sense of humour and care kept us going.

We have faith and hope that we will see you again.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 says For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who (a)sleep in Jesus. Revelations 14:13 says Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. Isaiah 26:19 says Your dead shall live; Together with (a) my dead body they shall arise.

Continue to rest well, from your nieces and nephews

 An ode to Ateenyi

Your infectious laughter is heard when the wind blows by Are the rustling trees giggling with your humour?

Your little people stare at the sky asking heaven for you. And when there is thunder, maybe God is giving them a sign.

When there is lightening, maybe you cheekily asked Him to.

Sometimes there is a glimpse of you in the rearview mirror happily waving bye.

And so we drive on looking at the horizon with hope to the rising moon or setting sun.

We add our own picturesque image of that day in glory when we will once again embrace you Ateenyi.

From every heart where you live on.
