Joseph Ssentume will deputise him

Ahead of the 2020/21 season, Police FC has named experienced midfielder Tony Mawejje as the club's new captain replacing Joseph Ssentume.

Ssentume was elevated to the role last season after skipper Sadat Kyambadde took leave from football.

Ssentume who recently signed a two-year contract renewal will now deputise Mawejje while midfielder Samuel Kayongo who is the longest-serving player at the club has been named the second vice-captain.

Right-back Denis Rukundo will be the third vice-captain.

Police has so far signed Mawejje, Tom Ikara, Eric Ssenjobe, Muhammed Hassan, Mawadda Mawejje, and Arnold Sembuya among others.

Players like Johnson Odong, Joseph Sentume, Denis Rukundo, Edward Kiryowa, Bashir Kabuye, Mubarak Nsubuga, Musa Matovu, and Yusuf Ssozi have all renewed their contracts.
