Iranian ambassador bids farewell to minister Oryem

Morteza who has been Iran's ambassador to Uganda since December 2016, expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the support he received which enabled him to carry out his duties.

The ambassador of The Islamic Republic of Iran to Uganda, Seyed Morteza has called on the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs: International Cooperation, Henry Oryem Okello to bid him farewell following the end of his tour of duty.

Morteza who has been Iran's ambassador to Uganda since December 2016, expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the support he received which enabled him to carry out his duties.

He revealed that he is  optimistic that the relations between the two countries will continue steadily progressing and promised to continue promoting Uganda-Iran ties when he returns  home.

During his tenure, political and economic ties were enhanced through various exchanges of high-profile visits.

In his remarks, Oryem reaffirmed Uganda's commitment to further strengthen the existing relations between the two countries.

The minister congratulated the ambassador upon completing his tour of duty successfully and applauded him for his commitment to promoting Iran-Uganda relations.

He wished the ambassador a safe return home and success in his other assignments.
