Chief justice wants more judicial officers

He said during the COVID-19 period they managed to clear over 2000 cases given the limited number of Judicial officers.

The Chief Justice Alfonso Owinyi Dollo has asked  President Museveni to appoint more judicial officers to deal with case backlog in all courts.

 Justice Owinyi Dollo, while presiding over a commemoration ceremony of the first Chief Justice the late Benedicto Kiwanuka at the high court, said a number of cases are pending in court as a result of scarcity of judicial officers.

 He said during the COVID-19 period they managed to clear over 2000 cases given the limited number of Judicial officers.
