Today in history: Bishop Cyprian Bamwoze accused of poor administration

HISTORY 

September 22, 1992: Bamwoze rejected. The rebellion against the Busoga Diocese Anglican Bishop, Rt. Rev Cyprian Bamwoze reached a climax when over 1,500 Christians in the Diocese unanimously upheld a vote of no confidence in him.

In a diocesan meeting at St James Church, Jinja, the Christians upheld the Bugembe Christ Cathedral decision, which first passed the no confidence vote against the Bishop.

The Bishop was being accused of financial mismanagement and poor administration.
