The original dates were moved due to the COVID pandemic but after various consultations with members, they agreed on December 2021.

The Netball World Youth Cup will take place on December 1 to 19, 2021 following a rescheduling by the International Netball Federation.

Uganda as one of the qualified nations was involved in the decision making that took place over Zoom in August. Other countries that had qualified for the tournament include heavyweights such as Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa, among others.

The original dates were moved due to the COVID pandemic but after various consultations with members, they agreed on December 2021.

"The Netball World Youth Cup is the pinnacle of competition for emerging players and provides a pathway for developing elite players, coaches and match officials. We are delighted to announce new dates for the event and look forward to seeing Fiji host another world netball events," INF President, Liz Nicholl CBE said.

The uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic had driven many to believe that the event may altogether have to be cancelled but Fiji still showed a desire to host the tournament but at a time when the virus has been dealt with.

Although the virus is a long way from being eradicated the INF remains optimistic the tournament will be held.

The only thing that will be done for now is that the INF monitors the situation in Fiji and the rest of the world every month.
