KAMPALA - The Police have summoned Kampala socialite, Charles Otim aka Sipapa over shooting bullets at the National Unity Platform (NUP) head offices.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango has revealed, saying they had been notified about the shooting at the NUP offices and investigations are on going.

"This is not the first time Sipapa has attacked NUP offices in Kamwokya. His first attack was on August 30 and the recent one of September 15," Onyango said.

He added, "We have summoned Sipapa and he is going to be answerable to the shooting at the NUP offices."

Onyango however, stressed that the police had not yet been notified about any injuries but if there is anyone that was injured, let them go, and make a formal report at Kiira police station.

Joel Ssenyonyi, the NUP spokesperson said, this is the second time Sipapa has come and provoked NUP supporters at the party headquarters.

"Is Sipapa one of Police operatives, and if not, where does he get the guns from and why isn't he arrested and charged?" Ssenyonyi wondered.

Ssenyonyi said that there are laws that govern the country and they don't want to become lawless in the country.
