MPs approve midterm access to NSSF savings

The principle of allowing midterm access to NSSF members who have at least saved for 10 years or have reached 45 years was agreed upon.
Parliament has approved mid-term access to National Social Security Fund (NSSF) savings among other 29 clauses in the NSSF Amendment Bill.
The principle of allowing midterm access to NSSF members who have at least saved for 10 years or have reached 45 years was agreed upon.
However, there was contention on whether to fix at 20% or allow the board to determine the percentage basing on studies it will have carried out.
