Express sign John Byamukama from Tooro United

The 23-year-old who signed a two-year contract with the Red Eagles will also have a chance to reunite with head coach Wasswa Bossa after the duo previously worked together at Tooro United.

Express FC have continued to strengthen their squad with defensive midfielder John Byamukama the latest to join them from relegated Tooro United.

The 23-year-old who signed a two-year contract with the Red Eagles will also have a chance to reunite with head coach Wasswa Bossa after the duo previously worked together at Tooro United.

"We all know Express FC is a historical club. I have joined the club to win titles and as a defensive midfielder, my role is to protect the back four which I'll gladly do when given the opportunity," Byamukama said.

Byamukama who is commonly known as by 'Tooky' by teammates spent two seasons at Tooro United where he played 33 games including scoring three goals and creating four.

He becomes the second holding midfielder to sign for Express after Isaac Nsengiyunva and he is also coach Wasswa Bossa's eleventh signing for the next season.

Head coach Wasswa Bossa will now have two holding midfielders at his disposal after the departures of Denis Sserukwaya and Lawrence Kigonya.
