Polls came to a standstill at Jinja Main  Street Primary School polling station after Police arrested one of the voters, only identified as Maumau. Locals demanded his release before the exercise could resume.



Locals attempted to block Police from taking away into detention a handcuffed Maumau.



Police and army officers were called in to contain the situation after two rival camps of candidated Benon Mugume and Brazio Kyabwisho (both vying for the Mbarara City north mayor flag) clashed at at Rwebihuro Polling station in Koranorya trading centre.

Soroti city east elections turned chaotic, forcing Police to intervene in Moru Apesur.



At Kicinjaji Primary School, where there two polling stations, voting was halted as voters turned rowdy. Police are trying to calm the situation.

In Soroti city, voting started late, with a low turnout at many polling stations. Five candidates are vying for the Soroti East mayor NRM flag.



The five candidates include Latif Abdul, Alfred Aruo, Justine Ooja, Charles Edotun and Robert Esaru, who has been the chairman of eastern division before the elevation of Soroti municipality into a city.



She excited to document what appears to be a landslide victory at this polling station.

A commendable attempt at observing standard operating procedures (SOPs) meant to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.



Candidate Mamerto Mugerwa voted at Kira Chirch of Uganda Primary School polling station.



Clearly, no social distance observed at Rwebihuro polling station in Koranorya trading center in Mbarara city north division.



At Kigwanya polling station in Busega Parish, Rubaga division. John Bwenje, the NRM registrar of Rubaga division, briefed the electorates about the process. In this division, Wilson Kabugo and Mahad Kaweesi are contesting for the NRM party flag.

Robert Kizza, who was contesting for the party flag for Busega Parish LC III councilor, went through unopposed.



Later, at Kigwanya polling station after voting ended.

There is heavy police deployment at Rwebihuro polling station in Koranorya trading centre, Mbarara city to ensure calm and order.



It is similar security deployment in Mbale city on a hot Monday.



Voting has yet to kick off in Nauyo town council in Mbale.
