A section of bodaboda riders have thronged on Kampala streets hunting for colleagues who have refused to wear masks.

They say, such riders risks contracting COVID-19 and are likely to compel government to send them back into lockdown.

They are doing it voluntarily, claiming that they passed through hell during the previous lockdown

"We do not want government to lock us again because our families won't get food that is why we have decided to camp on streets to deal with our colleagues who defy the SOPs by not wearing masks and carrying more than one passenger," they said.

This has come at a time when the COVID-19 prevalence has hit a high record  in Kampala, which prompted the works and transport minister, Gen. Katumba Wamala, to warn that government may lockup the city due to flouting of the COVID-19 guidelines.
