The Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda has praised the NRM party for carrying out a well organised top leadership elections.
Rugunda, who made the remarks shortly after casting his vote at Nakasero Primary School polling station in Kampala, challenged other political parties to emulate the NRM.
On why he didn't express interest in any party position, Rugunda said not everybody can contest but they can continue to contribute to the party in many other ways.
Rugunda also hinted at the government's plan to increase funding for political parties.
Among the CEC candidates who cast their votes at Nakasero Primary School polling station was Salim Uhuru and Godfrey Nyakana, the duo is in the race for the NRM vice chairperson for Kampala.
