Ugandans asked to apply for new East African passport

The directorate of Immigration and Citizenship has asked Ugandans to apply for the new East African passport pending expiry of the old passports.

Jacob Siminyu the spokesperson at the ministry said the old passports will cease to be legal documents come 31st of January 2021.

He urged Ugandans to embrace the use of the online service to save time as well as avoid fraud.
