Two churches were also destroyed in the storm. Jalia Namara, a resident and member of Agape Sanctuary Church, said they will miss their church, although they have not been congregating due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of the buildings at Kirama Primary School was left roofless. Calvin Nalwadda, a councillor representing Nabitanga sub-county, said people are likely to face severe hunger and poverty following the storm.
