Ministers rush for NRM nominations

Ministers, ex legislators and new entrants are seeking party ticket to vie for MP seats in different constituencies.

KAMPALA - The nomination of NRM MPs and LC V aspirants for the eastern and western region are in final stages at the party electoral commission offices at Kyadondo Road in Kampala.

Ministers, ex legislators and new entrants are seeking party ticket to vie for MP seats in different constituencies.

Some of the MPs who have been nominated include; Speaker Rebecca Kadaga, she was endorsed for woman MP Kamuli while Rehema Nandudu Namakambo was nominated to contest for Woman MP Mbale district. Musa Ecweru, the state minister for relief and disaster preparedness was nominated for MP Amuria County in Amuria district.

Hellen Odoa, the state minister for Fisheries and Mwine Mpaka nominated for Serere Woman MP and Mbarara South MP respectively.

Lydia Wanyoto Mutende, Col Fred Mwesigye and Hilda Nadungu were also nominated for Mbale city woman MP, Nyabushozi county and woman MP Sironko respectively.
