PROPOSED MAJOR RENOVATION WORKS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT AT SELECTED HEALTH FACILITIES – SAVING MOTHERS GIVING LIFE (SMGL):

The Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in Eastern Uganda (RHITES-E) Activity is a five-year activity funded by USAID and awarded to IntraHealth International, Inc., supporting the Government of Uganda (GOU) and key stakeholders to increase availability and utilization of highquality health services in 25 districts in Eastern Uganda and 5 in Karamoja. The district support will be achieved through strengthening of health systems, improving the quality of integrated HIV/AIDS, TB, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), Reproductive Health (RH), Nutrition and Malaria Services; increasing availability of, access to, and demand for these services with attention to equity and underserved populations. USAID RHITES-E plans to support the aforementioned districts (excluding Karamoja districts) to improve health facility infrastructure with key focus on Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, including: Antenatal care (ANC) units, Maternity Units, Operating theatres, Latrines and Waste management facilities.
